Sales & Relationship Manager

We’re expanding our sales and distribution across the UK and looking for a bright and entrepreneurial individual to help us spread the joy!

This is an opportunity to join a small entrepreneurial team and be at the forefront of bringing a new product and concept to one of the most competitive FMCG markets in the world.  It requires lots of running round stores, tracking data, planning visits, working with wholesalers and generally doing everything possible to get the drinks into stores.

Overall responsibility for:

  • Introducing Made With Joy and our products to stores and wholesalers
  • Building relationships and liaising with stores and wholesalers
  • Keeping track of performance across all stores and wholesalers
  • Driving new business with new stores
  • Promoting the brand and products using POS, tastings, trade promotions and direct selling
  • Involvement within all areas of business including marketing, supply chain management and office work

Key skills required:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – ability to create conversations out of thin air and persuade and influence all, from store managers to employees
  • Strong team player – you’ll be working within a very small team in an entrepreneurial setting and will need to understand and coordinate your responsibilities with those of others
  • Strong numeracy skills and commercial understanding – you’ll need to manage negotiations with stores and wholesalers around pricing and management of stock
  • Positive outlook – Maintain a professional yet joyful appearance and represent the values of the brand and a positive company image to all
  • Willingness to learn – you’ll be joining a dedicated team and have the opportunity to learn a tremendous amount quite quickly
  • Able to travel – Work will require significant travel to current and potential customers; possession of a valid UK driving license will be helpful though not essential
