The Story of Joy

Why Made With Joy?

Because everything is better with a bit of joy, food tastes better, water sweeter, weather warmer, the weekend longer and the week shorter!

We're called Made With Joy, for the simple reason that if we're not having fun - we might as well close shop and go back to the monotony of 9 to 5!

We believe everything we do, every little thing, benefits the people involved in the business, be it our suppliers, our retailers or our customers. How can we use the tremendous resources and know-how of business for more than just Porsches and lunches? Let's find out...

Who are we?

We're the other guys, the ones who used to work, now we play! We used to take the tube, now we stroll, we used to worry about Mondays now we wave at them as they rush past!

Why are we doing what we do?

We'd like to put a little ding in the food universe! We'd like to shake up taste and flavour of food on-the-go, but underneath it all spread some joy through creating great tasting and surprising flavours that don't make you feel guilty!

Because for too long we have compromised on taste for health, and far too long have we settled for substandard ideas of flavours and taste, because there are too many "smoothies" and not enough "lovelies"!

We'll bring some enthusiasm, a little bit of passion and lots of joy to create something that helps people appreciate the moment of consumption. Something that W.H. Davies' was thinking about when he said:

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

So slow down, relax, take of your shoes, loosen that tie, close your eyes, and come taste some joy!

Oh but what is 'joy?'

Our favourite joyful moments:
The Muppets rendition of the Ode to Joy on our Facebook Page - that's joy!
- Waking up on a Sunday morning and realising that you have an extra hour to lie in!
- Eating something which surprises you with it's personality and taste!
- Christmas morning and there's snow on the ground!
- Finding a £20 note in your trousers you didn't know you had!
- Seeing the look of pleasant surprise and joy on people's faces, once they taste our drinks!

The most real manifestation of joy is pleasant surprises in daily life - little touches that help! So come tell us how we can help!
